Wastes your time, drains your energy, or sends you on a wild-goose chase for perfection?
The fact is, in most cases, you don’t need any of that.
Sometimes, our pursuit of perfection is just an excuse for procrastination. The more we put things off, the longer we delay taking responsibility for their results.
Other times, our pursuit of perfection is often an excuse for inactivity. The less action we take now, the fewer complications we’ll have to tackle in the future.
And then there are times when our pursuit of perfection is merely food for our insecurities. The longer we dream about things, the fewer chances of failure we have.
Do not confuse the pursuit of perfection with striving for excellence. One will paralyze you, the other will propel.
More often than not, perfection may masquerade as productivity, so keep stagnation at bay with the problem-solving tip of the day:
