Worlds Apart II: Verbs Gone Rogue
Inspired by the game on adjective antonyms (words with opposite meaning), and the feedback it received, I decided to add two more games – one for verbs, and the other for nouns.
Let’s start with verbs first.
These are the most common prefixes used to create verbs of opposite meaning in the English language:
| Prefix | Verb |
|---|---|
| un | lock |
| dis | agree |
| de | activate |
| mis | behave |
| counter | act |
In the game below, for each given verb, write the correct prefix to get the correct opposite form. The game counts the current streak and the best streak (but only in one session – if you refresh it, the streaks are lost).
Keep adding the correct prefixes to reach 100 antonyms. 😁
Have fun!
