Tip of the Day: Self-Awareness

Tip of the Day: Self-Awareness
Another week, another fresh start, and yet another delightfully unapologetic post – this time on self-awareness.
Here’s a short list of self-scorching habits you might want to take heed of if you wish to navigate safely to the shore of the weekend.
- We overthink.
- We don’t give it enough thought.
- We say yes when we mean no.
- We say no when we’re afraid of saying yes.
- We apologize too much.
- We don’t apologize when we should.
- We overexplain things.
- We don’t give enough explanation.
- We pretend to care.
- We pretend not to care.
- We try to fix things we didn’t break.
- We ignore the things we broke.
- We solve other people’s problems.
- We postpone dealing with our problems indefinitely.
- We hope people will change.
- We hope change will not come for us.
- We take responsibility for external circumstances.
- We don’t take responsibility for our actions and behaviors.
- We rationalize when people treat us poorly.
- We take for granted people’s kindness.
- We have no boundaries.
- We have walls around us.
- We think we’re too much.
- We think we’re not enough.
- We stay when we’re not wanted.
- We leave because we’re afraid people won’t want us.
- We are who we think the world wants us to be.
- We are everyone except who we really are.
And that pretty much sums it up. Does it, though?
