Jump Rings & Butterfly Wings

Happy Monday, everyone! How was your weekend?

For me, this was a super creative and mega productive weekend. 😁

We kicked off the weekend filming several PREXcoaching® games, after which I tagged along with my friend Petra to a hobby & art store, where I accidentally stumbled upon a jump ring opener, a tool I didn’t even know I needed.

Needless to say, Friday night was spent in the creative spirit of jewelry making, or more specifically, earring making.

The Creative Part

The earrings are made of wooden butterflies, which were then painted with several different shades of Cadence metallic paints and finally assembled using fishhook ear wires and jump rings.

The opener did its part well, but the jump rings I used were quite small, and I definitely need more practice. Meaning – more earrings to come. 😁🥳

The Practical Part

That said, never underestimate the power of your hobbies, interests, and leisure activities. They follow the same pattern as all major accomplishments in life.

They start with an idea fueled by a creative spark, or sparks, followed by action, which employs one or more practical skills, all resulting in an impact with real, visible, and usually long-lasting outcomes.

This is a pattern that can be applied to virtually any situation, circumstance, or field in real life, and its implications and ramifications are endless.
