No Progress, No Pressure, No Problem

OK, can we please just take a moment to appreciate this awesome progress bar I created? 😍

It may not seem much, but it’s just one of those little things that make a person happy and pave the path for stronger creative skills in the future.

The Birth of the Idea

I was writing a post with details for Summer Plans when I decided to use a visual representing the current level of completion for each project.

Most projects are on the backburner, so a progress bar seemed ideal.

What also seemed ideal was a combination of something that would mix summer, progress, goals, the pressing urgency of the backburner, and… Well…

This is what I came up with. (Check out the progress bar in the featured image.) 😁

The Execution

I checked out the icons on SVG Repo, picked the one that matched my idea (perfectly, I might add), and built on it with additional elements in Affinity.

And voilà – the summer pressure progress bar was born.

The Aftermath

Honestly, I was even thinking of including this as one of the creative projects for the 5 Smaller Goals, but I’ll give myself the benefit of the doubt and file this one under “business.”

Either way, this was such a little pleasure to do it made my entire day.

So, the post on the details will have to wait until tomorrow.

Today, we ride the waves of accomplishment, not run away from them. 😉
