When Christmas Meets Coaching: Surviving on Your Feet Recap

One of my favorite aspects of PREXcoaching® are occasional open sessions I host for anyone who wants to join, try something new, and put their skills and comfort zone to the test.
In November, I held two of these, featuring my favorite format Surviving on Your Feet. The theme was, of course, Christmas.
I don’t usually post about these sessions, but perhaps I should start. They were so fun, inspiring, and engaging that I’ve decided to share the Highlights here for safekeeping.
Highlights, as observed in the PREXcoaching® Surviving on Your Feet: Christmas Edition sessions
📌 People easily follow new patterns but revert to old ones even more quickly.
📌 When asked to describe the perfect gift, most people will choose to describe the gift they would like to receive. Some people will tag along with the perspective others have chosen, while others (despite being told the perfect gift could be anything they’d like to give or receive) would still go on to describe the perfect gift for a mob boss.
📌 Some people have brainstorming skills that are so well-developed that, in most cases, combining lists from different participants still results in fewer items than on their own list. Nevertheless, quantity does not necessarily equal quality, as all lists in the session, regardless of their length, were substantially different from each other, making everyone’s contribution equally valuable.
📌 Kids detect flaws in patterns much better than their parents, even though they were just present in their room and didn’t actively participate in the session.
📌 Some people can manage virtually anything except their audio during an online meeting.
📌 The more, the merrier – even online.
📌 No one can challenge you more than you can challenge yourself.
📌 Some people fail and look for excuses. Others fail and then nail it – next time or eventually, but totally irrelevant to the final outcome.
📌 Minor changes trigger major impacts.
📌 People create amazing associations. But they create even more amazing dissociations.
📌 An elephant never forgets. Neither do women, apparently.
📌 People will always tell you everything if you just listen.
📌 Contrary to popular belief, it’s active listening that creates the most powerful twists in conversations.
📌 We all have the same view. What we see is a totally different picture.
📌 In the end, the only person you should compete against and impress is yourself.
💡 Bottom line: Human minds are amazing & I love what I do!
