Tip of the Day: Perspective
I accidentally dropped my phone, and it landed on the tiniest pebble in the whole world, which shattered my camera into a million broken pieces.
And since my brain works in ways no one has ever been able to explain, it reminded me of a conversation I recently had with a friend I haven’t seen in a long time.
Racing from one topic to another, she asked me about my family, so I mentioned my mom’s retirement is nearing, and she’s upset because if she retires, she’ll have to spend the entire time with my dad and my grandma. And at the same time, my dad confided that if my mom retires, it’s gonna be a living hell because she’s become impossible.
My friend then laughed and admitted, “yeah, my dad’s been retired for a few years now, and he always says he loves the peace and quiet without my mom’s nagging. My mom should also retire soon, but she told me she’d rather die – die – than spend every single moment of every single day of the rest of her life alone with my dad.”
Which makes me wonder…
If you’ve shared your entire life with someone, and you’d rather die than spend the rest of your days with that person – alone… wtf are you doing?
Wtf have you been doing all your life???
Maybe the lens is not the only thing that’s cracked… but whatever it is, it requires immediate action.
